For as long as I can remember, music has always been a massive part of my life. Growing up I was always surrounded by music from punk to country to jazz and because of this, my influences have been so diverse.
Singing fell in to place for me when my Mum enrolled me into a local musical theatre company at a young age and from there on, it grew. Around 2010 I started an acoustic duo called The Guitarist & The Girl and performed locally alongside some amazingly talented musicians for four years . During those four years I met tons of really interesting and inspiring people through music, all of which helped me gain the courage to start my solo career by the end of 2014. It'd been something I'd wanted to do for a really long time after falling in love with the local music scene and I felt like I was finally at a place where I was ready to give it a go. I was inspired by everything I'd experienced so far and all the support I'd been given over the years so, I set to it. I picked up my very dusty guitar, got writing and since then, I've released my first EP, 'The Unexpected' and played more gigs than I ever thought I could have!
A lot of my lyrics and music are influenced heavily by the music that I love which ranges from Ben Howard to Blink 182 to The Cranberries and if I'm not playing or writing, I'm usually listening to some kinds of tunes.
A lot of what I do outside of my music also plays a massive part in my writing and motivates me to always keep pushing forward, writing new material and exploring new possibilities. I love fitness and spend a lot of time in the gym and I also love the outdoors so I try and fit in the occasional walk, hike or climb when I can. At home I enjoy baking, reading, writing poetry and most of all, spending time with my family, my partner and my two dogs, Coco & Luna.
Finally, I’m super grateful to everyone that’s helped me get to where I am right now. I can’t sum up how thankful I am for all the support I’ve had over the last few years. It means the world to me and I could never explain to any of you just how wonderful you are. Now, my EP is available to listen to on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and spotify and I'm working on new material as well as gigging when and wherever possible.
Music has brought some awesome experiences and opportunities and I can't wait to see what the future holds... take it easy guys.
